How comfort eating can be your saving grace when living abroad.

We all know that times get hard when living abroad. The language, people, and what I struggle with the most, FOOD!

Some times after a rough class all I need is some good comfort food! However, when living abroad it’s hard to come buy ingredients that you don’t have to sell you left arm to buy!

So here are my top 3 foods to eat that are; easy, cheap and delicious, for days when I just don’t feel my best!

A special thanks to http://www.food.com/ for the recipes, i’m too lazy to write them all myself.

1.Cheesy garlic roast chicken breast!

It’s easy, cheesy and so damn good.

2. The omelet.

I love the omelet because of it’s simplicity, and also, it’s fantastic ability to be rammed full of whatever you want! Chicken, cheese, onions, peppers all are welcome in the omelet club!

my favourite is the Tuna Omelet With Cheese!

Scrumptious! So long as you’re a fellow cheese lover!

3. The Oreo milkshake.

Not sure if this actually counts as food but it’s good enough for me!

That’s the recipe from http://www.food.com/, now, I tried this and my teeth nearly fell out. I’d recommend chocolate ice cream but regular full fat milk. Then mash up a half bag of original Oreos and add them to the mix! Think you’ll find that’s sweet enough, no need for chocolate milk. And chocolate syrup? They must be mental, but try it, let me know how it goes!

So these are my 3 remedies that are sure to cure me on a bad day! Please let me know what works for you, I need some new ideas, these are turning into weekly dishes for me!

Enjoy and remember to share!
